That’s never changed. And with pride, it never will. The best known resident of RMG is General Joseph Lane. General Lane, as well as being the first Governor of Oregon, was also a national hero of both the Mexican and Rogue River Indian Wars. He served with distinction as a Congressman and United States Senator. Statesman Aaron Rose, also Legislator and Pioneer are interred here as well as scores of Oregon's earliest pioneers.
